Why do I get "Submission Failed"?

Firstly, please don't worry! Our support team investigate each and every failed submission, and we retry them straight away if we can.

If there's a problem, we always look into it, and once fixed, we will retry the submission.


What if the submission cannot be retried?

We can't always reprocess everything, and the first thing to always check is the type of file you are uploading.

The Amundsen Davis Secure Upload form accepts lots of file types, but it's worth checking your file is supported.

For your reference, the form allows the following types of file extensions: DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, PDF, TXT, CSV, RTF, HTML, DWG, DXF, VSDX, PUB, XML, PNG, JPG, TIFF, SVG, GIF, BMP, JPEG, TIF, HEIC, HEICS, HEIF, MP4, MP3, WAV, ZIP, RAR and 7ZIP.

Please note when uploading a zip file, check there are not any disallowed file types inside of it.


Password protected files - Important

Due to the secure nature of this form, all files are processed by anti-virus. If you are uploading an encrypted file, or a password protected document, this will result in a failure. Please remove any protection and try again.


Why do I get "Server Error"?

If you try to submit the form and receive a "server error" message, we cannot retry the submission, as it didn't go through at all.

Most likely, these errors are specific to the device you are using to upload. We recommend the following steps first:

  • Try another browser or device to upload the files. We thoroughly test each form against lots of devices/browsers, but the quickest resolution can simply be using a different one.
  • Try clearing your cache and cookies and then trying again.
  • Check if you have any browser extensions enabled, some browser extensions track data, and since this form is secure, we won't allow them to track. Disable any extensions and try again.
